Position Overview

We are seeking a talented and motivated Graduate Laravel Developer to join our development team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to apply your skills and grow your career with modern web development technologies and practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain our Laravel 11 application
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
  • Collaborate with the team on feature implementation and bug fixes
  • Apply best practices in web application development
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving our development processes

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Strong knowledge of PHP and object-oriented programming concepts
  • Experience with Laravel framework (preferably version 8 or later)
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Understanding of relational databases, particularly MySQL
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git)

Preferred Skills

We're seeking a proactive and adaptable Operations Coordinator to join our ambitious, high-energy team working across multiple exciting businesses including Sketch Manly, a locals' favorite curry bar, and Backya, an innovative Aussie startup changing how events are hosted. This role reports directly to the CEO/Founder and offers an incredible opportunity to grow with us, help drive key projects, and shape the future of two dynamic ventures.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We're looking for someone in their mid-20s to early 30s, with a background or interest in hospitality, business, or tech. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of relevant experience and be ready to take on a dynamic role that combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the right hand to the founder, assisting in day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives
  • Oversee and improve processes across multiple businesses
  • Contribute to event planning, product launches, and customer engagement
  • Play a pivotal role in scaling Backya, helping grow listings and drive new inquiries
  • Get hands-on experience in a vibrant hospitality environment with Sketch Manly
